happy birthday, twin! ♥

Before we begin, thank you so much for your patience. Not just with waiting for this thread — but with our friendship, too. You are such an understanding person; always willing to put yourself last and to wait your turn at the back of the line. I respect that so much about you. Not because I'm someone who likes to shove people out of his way and to step on their kneecaps to assure his victory, and not because this means I don't have to bother with tripping you, but because that's such a valuable trait to have. I know it's not the most flattering thing, being (more or less) related to my dramatic self, but it's an honour for me.

You're such an inspiration. I remember almost six years ago, when I was a new member and you seemed so unattainable. I wanted to be your friend so badly, but I never thought I'd be good enough. Befriending you seemed like a level that was impossible to reach, something I wasn't even worthy of, but I put in the effort to get close to you and I'm so glad for that. I can't even begin to think of a life without knowing you. You're not just one of my online friends, you also exist offline. My family knows all about "that girl from, where? Australia?" who sends me things. Which I'll never stop being grateful for. You've given me love and support that I had been lacking from those closest to me.

As far as I'm concerned, you really are my sister. We have moments where we'll argue for five seconds, just a thunder clap, and then we're right back to joking and smiling. We can be crying and opening up about a bad day, then we can go straight to plotting sisters that have severe emotional issues. (I'll finish mine in three years.) I can ghost you for months and when I return, it's like nothing has changed. Either that or we have inconsistencies with our personalities that need to be addressed — but I choose to take it as a sign of how real our relationship is.

I really hope you know how special you are. Not just to me, but to so many people. To your relatives, to your friends in NZ, to your workplace. You are driven, talented, loving; such a good example of what a person should aspire to be. You're perfect. I can't even begin to express how incredible you are. It's cheap to say, but I can't put it in words. You're not someone that you can write a memoir about. You'll never read a biography for Zoe Chipperfield and get the full story. You exist in moments — memories and photographs and footprints in the sand. In the sunlight. A scar that's been stitched with care. You're every small, beautiful thing that comes together to make the world more meaningful.

And I hope that your birthday (had been) everything you were wishing for.

But then Saffron is her victor and one of the biggest legends on the site. But then also Tiger was her first trib ever reaped with me and she just cartwheeled her way into my HEART. But,,, then Rowan was so sweet and gentle and Timothy’s twitter brotp with Dane is what got me through 2016 lmao. And then. FUCKING Samira don’t get me started omfg pls. there’ve been,,, so many times dude. Zoe has LITERALLY made me feel better about myself every time I have ever spoken to her on some level. I remember one day I was really having a bad day at school and anyway I checked my phone afterward and Zoe had just randomly drawn this ugly ass stick man sitting next to her on the bus stop and she was like “I was lonely so I drew u sitting next to me” and I instantly felt better. She sent me a Christmas card once and I got to laugh at her terrible penmanship skills.
