"I know you want me," he said with a flirtatious smile on his face. I wasn't going to lie to him, though. I did't want anything to do with him. Just because I've been known to sleep around a bit here and there doesn't mean that any person who wants to get into my pants can do it. Since this guy wasn't the most friendly toward me with most of his words, though, I didn't mind being rude in response. Sure, I wasn't going to lie, but I wasn't going to be friendly about it, either. I was going to be giving him the complete and total truth of how I felt about him.
A laugh escaped my lips when he spoke to me.
"Want you?" I said in a surprised tone. "Why would I ever want you?" I asked him rhetorically. Despite the fact that I wasn't looking for an answer to that question, though, he decided to attempt to give me one. Damn, this guy was trying pretty hard. Was he really that desperate to hook up with me? He wasn't going to get anywhere. I wouldn't even let someone pay me to so much as kiss him. He was repulsive in the way that he spoke and I wanted nothing to do with him.
"Why wouldn't you want me?" he retorted. "I'm attractive, smart and a nice guy."
There was definitely no holding in the laughter this time, either. I laughed harder than I had before, as I'd never heard such an inaccurate description of a person.
"Are you trying to be funny? I've never heard someone have such a terribly pathetic attempt at getting in my pants." I told him this with a raised eyebrow. It honestly sounded like he was trying to make me laugh because of how terrible he was at trying to gain my positive attention. Unfortunately for him, the only attention he was getting from me was negative and disgusted by him.
At this point, the guy looked embarrassed and had stopped talking altogether. I let a smirk cross my face and crossed my arms in response to my accomplishment in embarrassing the guy. Then, I simply turned and walked away. The first time I'd tried to do that, he'd followed me, getting us into the current situation, but not this time. I was able to walk away from him this time, which was certainly a relief.
Making my way away from him, I eventually looked behind me to see that he was finally out of view. That was definitely a good thing. When I turned back around and started walking once more to my destination of the District Square, my eyes met someone else in my view, and this particular person was much more appealing to look at. I'd met her before, and she was gorgeous. Esemerelda Fawcett was a beautiful girl who was my age and had skin almost as dark as my own. I'd first met her when we were both still in school and her mother had just recently passed away. We became friends, and I started to develop a crush on her, but I was almost certain that the feelings that I had for her weren't reciprocated towards me in return.
She wasn't usually a super social person, but I knew that, since we were friends, there might have been a small chance that she'd at least talk to me the slightest bit. Therefore, I approached her, picking up my walking pace so that I could reach her and walk alongside her at her pace.
"Hey, what's up? Anything new? I had to avoid a guy who I swear was trying to get in my pants on the way here. Other than that, everything's just been the same for me as of lately." I said this to her, hoping that it wasn't too much being said at once. She was the one I wanted- not that guy from before. It wasn't a secret I tried to hide. I wasn't sure if she'd noticed yet, but I truly was attracted to her, more that I'd been attracted to anyone else before. Now it was just time to see where things went.
