When it came to the stench of the training center, I suppose you could say that that's one of the few things I've gotten used to in the Capitol. Not only does it smell like rubber mats and sweaty teenagers, as I'd surely noted before, but it was starting to seem like the air was stale and not very well-circulated. It drove my allergies nuts, causing me to sneeze when I first came in the training center that day and even causing a bit of an echo in the process. There was a giggle from one of the younger tributes when this happened, but I couldn't tell which one.
Today was going to be a day for me to focus on weaponry. I'd been looking into the survival stations a bit too much if I wanted to be able to fight and not just wait out the other tributes. Then again, whether or not I wanted to fight didn't really matter. Whatever happened in the Games, I was sure I'd have to come face to face with the weapon of another tribute at some point.
Wynter Rochelle was gorgeous. She had a different kind of beauty than Merida, but she was still rather striking, and I admired her movements that she was able to make with a sword in hand. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea, but I decided then and there that I wanted to try to impress her. I picked up a sword in my own hands and started attacking the target next to the one that she was training on. Clearly, Wynter was a career, but I couldn't let that stop me from trying to get on her level. I wasn't doing the greatest with the sword, however, and eventually started to tire myself out.
I stopped, taking a breather, and looking in the direction of the girl from Two. She was strong and certainly had good endurance. I could tell this already, and I'd barely seen her do anything.
"Do you mind teaching me some of your sword skills?" I asked her, hoping for the best. I doubted it'd go anywhere, asking a career, but one could always hope.
✨ zozo.
