this is the moment you've waited for
- Patryk Sho -
This most certainly is one of the moments you've waited for in your life. Your shows and performances have finally lifted off the ground, no longer passed by as just another uninteresting event on stage like so many others. For years, people didn't acknowledge your work, but finally, they've started to. Your biggest show yet was to occur today, with people from all over the Capitol scheduled to attend the glorious display of talent. You'd hired some of the most talented acrobats, magicians, daredevils and so many other types of people to perform in this event, as it was the most important show of your career thus far.
The show was about to begin and you took a deep breath while standing behind the curtain. Although, no one was able to hear this over the roar of the talkative and excited crowd, waiting for what you had in store to begin. As the curtain in front of you began to rise off of the ground and toward the ceiling, you put a confident smile on your face and were ready to wave to your many adoring fans. Just a couple years ago, you never would have dreamed of being able to have your show be put on in a venue of such a significant size, but now, it was a reality.
When the curtain was finally up above your head, your hands were raised in the air to welcome the cheering people of the Capitol that had been so generous enough to attend this particular event of yours. The few moments you took to introduce your show were brief, but caused a lot of excitement in the crowd. That was for sure. When it was time for the true stars of the show, known as the performers- the true talent- to come onto the stage, the curtain lowered once again and you left the stage as your hired, talented stars made their way onto the stage in your place.
This was one of the most exciting moments of your career so far, and your heart was pounding. The curtain rose again, revealing the performers in their places, and the music began. Now, it was time for the event to truly begin. Your broad smile was still present across your lips, despite the fact that no one could see you aside from those who stood backstage with you as you watched on the screen to see what it was that the audience was witnessing. This was, for sure, the greatest show you'd ever seen.
As the performers concluded the show as their time on stage ended, cheers once again erupted from the clearly excited crowd. There wasn't a single sound of disappointment to be heard from those attending, and that made you all the more satisfied with how the show went. Now, it was time for the after party. You were sure, however, that before the party, you'd be acknowledging the great work that the true talent on that stage had done. Each and every one of them was thanked for their time and told how amazingly they'd done. You told each of them what they did best, and they thanked you in return. There was no room for criticism after such a great display of talent, after all.
Now, as you made your way to the banquet room for the after party, you felt your heart racing once more, as it had when your show first began that night. You were prepared to see your adoring fans, and, as you also expected you'd likely encounter, your critics. The critics didn't bother you anymore. As long as they didn't cause true, violent chaos, you were fine with hearing what they thought that you'd done wrong. If a complete uproar could be avoided, you were okay with negative feedback, as it no longer irritated you as it once had.
Entering the room, people erupted in cheers and were clapping loudly, the occasional whistle of approval to be heard, as well. The wide smile you'd been wearing before immediately returned to your face when this happened, and as it died down, you began socializing with those around you. People approached you to talk about the show, and it made you feel even better about all that had happened that night. Surely, there would be a wide variety of people there that night, so you didn't quite know who you'd end up talking to. It could be anyone, really. Now was just the time to find out who those people would end up being.
