Blissful Children {Venus Oneshot}

Another year of bliss and safety for my many children has passed by. Rena, however, is still not the same. She continues to mourn the loss of her dear girlfriend, Lorenza Aita, despite her death having passed three years ago at this point. I can't say I entirely blame her, however. I'm not someone who generally mourns the dead, as I have yet to lose someone I've been extremely close to. Lorenza, or as Rena called her, Za-Za, was a nice girl who was very much my style. She dressed in a very fun way and wasn't afraid to be who she was. She liked to party, and most importantly, she treated my daughter the right way.

I couldn't focus too much on what ailments were affecting my children at the moment, however. I also couldn't allow myself to spend too much time thinking about the Games this year, as I didn't know any of the tributes and had more important things that needed my attention. Recently, or perhaps not so recently, as it had been about three months ago at this point, I'd become pregnant with a set of twins, courtesy of a man I'd met at a local bar not too long ago. I don't regret it, but I'd at least like to inform the kind man of the wonderful news. Surely he won't decide to stay with me, or even likely decide to keep any form of contact with me, but that's alright, I suppose. That often seems to be the case when men cause me to bear more children. It doesn't bother me all too much. I just wish that they'd care a bit more about their offspring like I do, no matter how many of them are actually accidents.

A few nights ago, as my baby bump had begun to grow, one of my daughters decided to make note of it, as I hadn't mentioned it to my children, despite the fact that I truly should have.

"Ma, you got another one on the way?" she asked of me.

"Yes, dear. Two this time, my sweet." I tried to respond in the kindest way I possibly could, as, at first my child hadn't been rude to me. Therefore, she didn't deserve a rude response. After I gave my answer, however, she rolled her eyes at me.

"I'm guessing it was a different dude knocking you up again? You really need to settle down," she told me before walking away in a rather disrespectful manner. I couldn't let it get to me, though. Once again, I had to focus on getting in touch with the father of the children, Mr. Xena. It's likely, however, that I wouldn't be able to do so without Rena's help, unfortunately, as Mr. Xena's daughter, Luanna Xena, had been Lorenza Aita's best friend and had been recently spending some time with one of my daughters, Rena. I just had to hope that I could find another way to get in touch with him without Rena finding out that it was her new-found friend's father who was the father of her new half-siblings.

What would Rena think if I told her I was bearing Mr. Xena's children?

Most importantly, what would she think if I broke the news to her that it wasn't the first time?
