"What the hell Grey?"

    I shrug. That's not the first time that's happened. Another person with their own investigation of my mentality sent spiraling with curses spewing from their lips. They were warned and ignored the warnings, every last one of them. By the time they realize they've dug their own grave it's beyond too late. Some seek friendship while others roam in closer for a hint of low lit romance. Whatever reasons lure them to my beaches is above my own knowledge. I don't hide who am, what I am. I know from the moment they first disembark onto the island of me that I will shatter them. There is no safety on my shores or shelter in the shadows of my existence. Call it whichever adjective you wish: morbid, depressing, terrifying. It is what is, and it's the truth.

    I don't give a shit about anyone, not their feelings or what their sad stories from the past are. In this crucible of living, I truly don't care. Even as a kid I'd never apologize. My younger brother would throw sand into my face, and I would beat him until his face was bruised or bleeding. My parents naturally would be pissed, but no matter what consequence they came up with as a result for not saying the stupid phrase "I'm sorry," I never caved in. My younger brother learned pretty quickly not to bother me, can't say that I blame him.

    My parents tried therapy, which obviously didn't work. They told me I had anger management issues, as a seven year old. Even at that age I knew they were wrong. I was never angry when I would beat up my brother or spit at my sister. I just saw it as fair, someone does something to me then I would do something back. I was simply smart enough to know that by stepping up my counter they would figure out real fast to be nice around me. I don't get angry, honestly don't really see the point in the explosion of emotion that being flung into rage takes. I don't get overly sad either, again the whole enormous overload of emotions thing is a bit much. So my point, no I don't have anger management issues and yes the therapists were idiots.

    They spent years trying to figure it out, figure me out. Eventually they came to what the real conclusion is. It's just my personality. I feel emotions and all, it is a human thing, but I just don't show them. I also don't really feel them as much, I guess? But because of this I'm considered a massive dick. Since I don't do the whole emotions thing the same as everyone else, my level of caring about other peoples' emotions is extremely low. Someone is crying and I avoid asking about it, people in that state are usually more than I can handle. To be quite fair I don't think I really care about other people. So yeah, anyone who tries to get to know me gets hurt. Usually pretty badly from what I've seen.

    Now let me tell you, I genuinely have little to no idea why anyone would ever pursue any type of relationship with me. I give the only credit that people still always try to my physical genetics. I got the best of Grey's gene pool on that end. The hair as golden as the District's beaches. The eyes as blue and sparkling as the endless sea. Even the face as tender and innocent looking as an angel. Not to mention the lightest of freckles dancing in dots over my face and skin. Really the only minus to my positive appearance is the gnarly scars across the front of my right collar bone. Now that is a good story.

    First of all, in case you don't know who my family is. Us Grey's are known for two things: Incredibly gifted water attributed careers and our surf shop. It's a big and highly successful family business. All branches and all members of our tree come together to make waxes, boards, and wet suits. If you ever see someone shredding some waves on the sea that my eyes resemble, well I can almost guarantee they are using one of our boards. So yes, to answer your question, we are another very wealthy career family. I am also guilty of falling into the stereotype of my family. You should see how well a boy who gives no fucks about other people fights, and when you aren't looking for that kind of carnage just come watch me surf, it's still quite impressive.

    Back to my story now that the background has been given. It had been a sweltering summer. Work on that day in particular had been exhausting. I was out for a late afternoon surfing session when some asshole peacekeepers and their speedboat showed up. They drove me into the fucking rocks making me not only destroy my collar bone, but break my favorite board. I was thinking about becoming a Peacekeeper one day if I was never chosen for the Games, but after that hell no. Shame for them too, I'm in top shape with very toned figure.

    Oh hey, I guess before I end this or whatever I should explain who was said that what the hell from earlier. His name is Quinn another career from the same gym as me. He is just the most recent person to attempt at getting involved with me. Now don't get me wrong, really attractive guy who I had some fun times with. But talk about over the top. So we hooked up a few times? He was expecting us to start dating or something, and that is just not me. So after I found out I beat the crap out him, in front of his sister. Again not angry, but got the point across that I am not interested so why break system that works?

    So yeah, I don't have much else to say about myself. People think I'm dick. I basically am. I like to surf and train. Okay, good talk. Till next time.
