Hi Scandal!

Sorry about the delay in getting a response to you, summer has been a tough one with activity.

What are you doing when you're pondering? Sometimes when I am lost for the next sentence, I just word vomit all of the ideas that I have in my head. It is a good idea to plan ahead before everything is pieced together, especially for something like a biography. Get a plan etched out and it can be your guide.

Don't always do something chronologically, especially like a bio. People like to start with appearance then personality then finish off with history. Start at your strongest point or wherever you have the strongest idea. You can always move the order of paragraphs at the end.

Remember, unless it is a blitz-a-thon, there is no race in writing. Take as much time as you want before you feel your writing is perfect.

I have an idea for you, the next time you write a biography have a little plan written. Brainstorm! Brainstorm! Brainstorm! Do all the pondering before hitting your keyboard, you could write it down on a piece of paper, a character flow chart etc.

Do the same again for normal threads, if you're stuck on following someone's previous post just brainstorm! There could be more than one idea on how your character is going to react to the previous post's action. Getting it all written down in a summary and pick out the one you feel you're most comfortable with/can get the most action out of. Pondering is ok in writing, it is just learning how to use that time pondering effectively.
