Faux Rhodes
Training is exhausting, but Faux knows the importance of it. Not that it makes a difference in who lives and dies, but being prepared in someway is key. Right now holding a weapon taunts him; the blades laugh at him as the trainers glare with intimidating eyes. He's alone, and it's more painful than anything. Sure his brother is somewhere within the walls of the training center, however, it doesn't push the gut wrenching thoughts away. So when it's time to eat, Faux wastes no time leaving the gym behind.
Lunch is one of the most important meals of the day even more important than breakfast in his eyes. It gives strength to carry on. It takes away the shaky feeling breakfast leaves behind, but looking at the food prepared makes it hard to do anything. It's simply amazing, and Faux can't stop his chin from dropping to the ground. There's enough food here to feed everyone in district eleven several times over.
A bleeding heart claws at his ribs; it hurts seeing it all, and yet Faux wants to devour as much as possible. It's about making himself stronger so maybe one day his friends won't go hungry. Sneaking them food is easy because he cares for them more than he cares for himself. Friendship is important, but here it's lonely. Not a soul is willing to talk to him. Nobody cares enough to say hi, and it's difficult. It's hard to keep going, to share the world without a friend by his side.
Faux needs a friend, but the food will do for now.
The next several minutes are spent piling as much food on a plate as humanly possible. It's beyond him how he's even going to eat it all, but he always has a plan. And for starters it involves sitting in a corner so he can watch from a distance. Maybe someone will see him, or maybe going on like a ghost is best. With a heavy sigh, Faux grabs one of the many rolls resting on his plate and digs in.
