The night comes on so slowly, you aren’t sure if the twilight ever fades into night. After you’ve gotten your bearings, you come to realize the floodlights from the HO___WOO_ Sign have destroyed any chance of seeing the moon and stars. The ambient light stretches far, touching nearly every area. Only the tributes at the Sea Cliffs and hidden in the Redwoods have any sense of night. Even so far removed from the light, there’s no peace to be found. With so many tributes remaining, the arena is noisy tonight.
