Blood drew across his chest and it was only chicken's - sure - but at least he felt like a badass. White meat cooked over match stick fire; Enzo was about the same. Scrawny & tender, he ate like he hadn't in a while. One meal a day? Fuck the Hunger Games, he scratched his stomach with dinner. Chicken bones were something of use, right? 

Meh, might as well keep em. 

So far he was two-zero on bad days. Suffered some scraps and bruises, deep welts and sucking in air as he slept on his sides. Enzo wasn't especially of high pain tolerance, things tend to hurt him more than the normal person. Perhaps it was the age, perhaps it was the weight, he'd yet to figure it out. The idea of being Justice Fray was so appealing to him, being something so- so. 

Strong? The word stayed on his tongue while he hiked back through the redwood forest, fjallraven on his back, be strong, be safe. Please. A jilted letter and he drew a piece of rib on the delivery word when it first landed. Slow draw, sure, it flew away before he could react but the letter hit the sands next to him. Something about Temple hit him hard, some type of homesickness -- be safe. 

He had never been concerned with that. 

Javalin in hand, bird in sight. Lorenzo had never had a firm grip on reality. Not even on the handle of his weapon, blah blah blah safe was a contrast right? Construct, technically he was unsafe without food. Bird means food. Food means safe. Easy math, he'll invite Temple to his dinner party. The plan was build a house, cook some dinner, live happily ever after, what's to stop him, truly.
