this thread takes place after the private sessions, I suppose.
Its better to be hated than
love, love, loved for
what you're not.
She was all alone in the large training center. Just as Dru liked it. People were threats. Dru her weapon aimed, and fired. She was skilled, she had fought many a fights using this sort of weapon back home, but after receiving a training score of 10 it felt like the weapon did not just work for her now, it was her one and only true Allie against all of the world. She was in an Alliance of course, Shanks had even come up with a name. Euthanasia. Dru had suggested they tag on the world 'Shameless,' to add dramatic effect and suggest that they liked what they did. It added a disturbing factor, the girl had told Shanks. She remembered the look on his face. The silent agreement that meant he thought she was right, because obviously Dru Charlesburg was an expert on all things disturbing, creepy, and flirty. A combination of those three had yet again reassured Dru that she had Shanks wrapped around her slender finger.
The pinging of the elevator forced Dru to toss her weapon of choice. She was trying to keep it a secret. No need to alert the masses just what kind of skills she had. It would be a much better idea if she kept it a secret until the Bloodbath, where her and her temporary friends would dominate, or so she hoped. They had not discussed strategy just yet. Dru ran over to one of the instructors and started making chit chat as the elevator doors slid open and another Tribute walked in. She did not turn around to see who it was just yet. Better to act like her and this instructor had been having a thrilling conversation for the past ten minutes, and had not just started talking about whatever the hell he was trying to teach her thirty seconds ago.
She finally turned toward the elevator, but did not find the other Tribute. Dru tensed as she caught wind of somebody behind her. The young woman turned around to face her silent attacker, praying to God this person was not usually so stealthy and that she had just been particularly unobservant just then. Somebody who could prowl about like so, in the Hunger Games might have the upper hand. Dru's pretty training score of 10 would not help her at all if somebody came up behind her and stuck a knife in her back.
