You were made to make it hurt,
Disappear into the dirt,
Carry me to heaven's arms,
Light the way and let me go.
A guilt unspoken settles on the curves of Kirito's down turned lips. A boy brave enough to speak out a rising storm now welcomes its wrath. Instead letting another similar sea of scarlet to form under a wound in the Rhodes family he has chosen to apply a patch. Outside the window the world whizzes away along with the guarantee of future for his life. Who would have to faced if Rex Antilles finds himself buried beneath the earth along with the past ten years? Is his volunteering one of confidence or of sacrificial grace?
Whatever it is, it makes Kirito's stomach sink heavily stuffed with stones.
Flashes flicker over Kirito's memories from the past. Numerous names, numerous faces, numerous voices, endless gravestones. Year after year when the voices of the brave have risen from the masses they have returned silent. So many volunteers leading to lost life, it is a torturous cycle to watch but their moments cannot be stopped, their desires cannot be dampened. Even now a decade later in Eleven lives the memory of three years of excellence, three years of survival, three years of hope. And now Rex comes as the newest boy with his own beating heart of bravery.
Just how much longer will this brave heart continue beating?
Inside the speeding silver train's center Kirito walks up to a chair beside the boy himself. For a second there is silence, a moment of recognition of where they are heading. The quiet instance falls into a question from Kirito's lips.
"Are you ready?"
It's not thank you. It's not congratulations. It's real.Dear Agony,
Just let go of me,
Suffer slowly,
Is this the way its got to be?
Lyrics : Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin
