Anthem - Day 3

The beasts disappear as quickly as they had arrived. You hear their cries in your sleep, feel the phantom tearing of their teeth in a wound that hasn’t yet closed. The moon is bright and the sky is clear of storms; all you can think is that silence does not suit this place. But the blood still drying on the ground feels familiar, and as the stars rearrange themselves and the anthem blares across the arena, you embrace the quiet and watch intently.
