The rain has stopped, and while your hair is wet and your clothes are soaked you don't feel any cleaner. The Arena is quiet now and you wonder what the other tributes must be doing. Are they looking for you? Are they hiding away? There's no reason to hide. The next day will come no matter, and the Gamemakers will have satisfaction. You take the long night hours for yourself, trying not to think of the deafening silence of the Arena. It's like every animal and every breeze had been shut off and the only sound is your own breathing and your heart inside of your chest. You wonder if your heart will still beat by this time tomorrow.
You sit, alone, looking up at the dark night sky.
