THE 83ST HUNGER GAMES POST-A-THON!We all need a little money now and then,
especially when we're in the Games.THE INFO:
You hid your children, your wife, and your husband from the Reaping, and you done good! No tributes for you! But now... what happens? That's right, you get to be a sponsor!! This is a very coveted position because the tributes need you. That's right. Well, mostly they need your hard-earned monies. And you know how we get more of those, right?
We post! In character! A lot!!
The 80th Games Sponsor Post-a-Thon will be a bonanza of good quality posts, which will lead to prizes. Who said prizes!? I did!THE HOW-TO:
You may sign up by replying to this thread. It's that easy! Between whenever you sign up and OCTOBER 19TH, you need to make a thread in the Post-a-Thon board in the District Square to track your posts.
NOTE: If you had a Post-a-Thon thread from the 58th-78th, please edit the first post to clearly reflect your pledge and count for the 79th. If you want to keep your tracker from previous Games, just post them into a reply to the same thread.
When you post your sign up, you must pledge a minimum word count you will meet for the event. This event will run from NOW to OCTOBER 19TH, making it three weeks long. This will give the winner the opportunity to actually use the money to sponsor someone before everything gets too expensive.
The minimum pledge word count shall be 5,000 in-character words. This is why we have the tracker - no OOC posts will count, nor will Games posts! This is so that the playing field is level for tributes and non, alike. 5k words is roughly 10 pages worth of writing, for perspective. This pledge, starting with the 78th post-a-thon, must be made up of at least 50% in threaded posts, meaning a 5,000 word pledge will be directly from out of games, non-bio posts. However, if you have only one bio above the fifty percent point, that's fine tbh.
Your thread tacker must include the following, or you will be disqualified:¤ Link to each in character thread.
¤ Word count tallied per post.
¤ Date from which you are counting! This is critical if you are counting posts from an existing thread.
Par example:
Thread Title - 622 words // Started October 1st
Thread Title - 1998 words // As of October 1st
See? Easy, peasy, febreezy.THE BEST PART - WINNING:
Everyone who meets their minimum goal by the 19th of October will be awarded $1,000! How's that for hitting the target?
The admins will select one winner, someone who stands out from the crowd. The winner may totally pwn their expected goal, or they may bring themselves to a new level of writing. In either case, it will be up to the admins to award... $10,000!!
