"How dare you. How DARE you!!" Apollo spat at the boy who had insulted his name. The boy had disgraced his family, and Apollo's father. Apollo's father worked in one of the highest offices of the capital, was one of the best they'd ever seen. The boy hadn't seen it coming, which made it all that more satisfying.
CRACK
The boy stumbled backwards, and collapsed onto his back in a heap. "Don't you ever think about insulting my father!" This was who he was..
This was Apollo Cohen
Apollo Cohen sported silky bleach blonde hair, a trait he got from his beautiful mother. Crystal blue eyes were buried deep within his eye sockets. Pale flawless skin encompassed with a set of tight locked lips. He stood at a very modest 5'10, marking him as one of the shorter careers of district 1. He wasn't overtly muscly, in fact he was fairly skinny. But he was quick, and witty. His best ally was his ability to move, and strike when the enemy could least expect it.

Apollo was liked by most, and in one of the most tight-knit groups in school. The popular children as most would call it. Apollo wasn't afraid to lose his temper, which he often did. He had a very very bad temper, often losing it with the snap of a finger. He didn't care though, his father had leeway in just about anything you could think of. His father could get him off with committing murder if it was really that necessary. But everyone knew that.

Growing up wasn't always easy for Apollo. As a child he was often the victim of verbal abuse, typically from his father himself. Always telling him that he wasn't doing things right, that he needed to grow up and be a man. His father personally trained Apollo to be a career in hopes of one day sending his son off to the Hunger Games for eternal glory in District 1. Perhaps the reason Apollo was so protective of his fathers name was this reason, Apollo loved, and disliked his father all the same. Loved him because his father was always there to bail him out, loathed him for never actually being a father.

His short temper wasn't his biggest flaw. His decision making was, Apollo would often act off his emotion rather than with logic. Someone insulted his mother? May as well assault them. That was his mentality. His mother never thought of him as a bad kid, nor' his father, so proper help was never given to Apollo for his lack of classiness. Often Apollo was sent home from school due to bad behavior and was often the victim of severe write-ups from his teachers.

Apollo wasn't a good student, as you may already have inferred. He was constantly picking on the weaker children, talking back to the teachers. Throughout all of this, he would often throw his fathers name in the mix, as a way to get himself lesser punishment. He was often caught smirking in the face of authority, while throwing out that card. Apollo was the head man of a close group of friends he had, often tracking down students that were weaker than them, and teaching them a lesson on how to be a man. It wasn't an honorable thing to do, but

Apollo's free time was spent mostly training. Cardio in the morning and the afternoon. He was in great shape, and was more than ready to maim, kill, disarm anyone who he needed to in order to win the games. He felt the only reason he existed was to compete. He felt like it was his own destiny. He was often brought into the local gyms by his father, so he could spar with the others there. Usually Apollo won, due to his quick strikes he could land in such a short time. Those times where he could see how proud his father was really were the best.

Apollo's family was very wealthy as well. He would often go to school in night black suits, and dress like he was always trying to impress somebody. Most girls thought he was repulsive, others took a liking to him, perhaps it was his personality. He didn't care though, he was pleased with himself. The world seemed so small to him, because in his mind District 1 was the only District that really mattered? Right? Of course these were his fathers views, and not really his own. It was embedded into his mind at such a young age that he was just better than those around him, which is why he was often so cocky. Apollo really didn't care for much other than the Hunger Games. It was such a pity that the child had fallen that far into the bad mentality that was established within himself, but what did he care, after all..
