Once, there were three men who were all separate, and all equal in terms of power and influence and even reputation:
The BELGRAVE family was made up of the biggest underground arms dealers in the district. Their house patriarch, Johannes, was quite serious and studious, and a business man through and through. Always so busy that it was easy to forget he had a family.
The PRESCOTT family was old money, and where you went to get any fake documentation or records with no questions asked. The head of their house, Lawson, was haughty and ostentatious, but a doting father.
The ROYCE family was rather new to the scene and their primary trade was in... erm, pharmaceuticals. The house leader, Sebastian, was temperamental and reckless, not quite mature enough to be the father his children needed.
They lived their entire adult lives apart, living in different places, dealing in different trades. Their children attended different schools, their wives went to different book clubs, and other than the mutual agreement to leave one another alone, the Belgraves, Prescotts, and Royces wanted nothing to do with each other.
But there came a day when want had little to do with it:The day when rebellion came to town.
The Big Three, as they are now referred, armed the entire war effort. The Belgraves supplied weapons and munition, the Prescotts moved the rebels from district to district, intercepted Capitol messages and replaced them with others, and because it was such a tall order, Johannes and Lawson asked Sebastian to be a benefactor with an agreement that he received a third of the payout. He agreed. All three men went all in, and it was in vain: the rebels lost, and the Big Three were named.
It was a strange day, the day they were executed. Mixtures of pleasure from Capitol supporters and anger from the rebels and confusion from anyone who wasn't involved either way. They lined them up in a row, the Big Three. First, they killed Johannes with one of his own bullets: one to the knee, one to the shoulder, one to the head. Then they threw Lawson into the burning pile of papers they'd recovered from his estate. Then they injected Sebastian with a cocktail of his sought-after morphine and some specially imported tracker jacker venom.
Their wives were avoxed and sent to the Capitol to work as servants for the rest of their lives, as they were not directly involved, but they knew of their husbands' businesses and had no problem enjoying the payout.
The children were left as orphans and sent to live in a juvenile detention center, each with two year sentences. They loathed one another: the Belgraves blamed the Prescotts for leaving a paper trail, the Prescotts blamed the Belgraves for under arming their soldiers, the Royces blamed everyone for involving their father in a war that was none of his business.
As for the money, what was left of it: it was hidden, as it always had been. The children endured interrogation after interrogation, punishment after punishment in the Capitol's attempts at recovering it, to no avail. Because the children did not know. They had no idea where it was, but one thing they all knew was that they had to find their own as soon as they could. With such animosity between the three families, it was only a matter of time before the children themselves were grown and making decisions on the next war. Whether it would be against the Capitol or one another, one could not say. But if they had to choose right now, well, none of them are interested in making their parents' mistakes.
tl;dr
a bunch of ex rich kids are just getting out of juvie and trying to find their dead fathers' hidden wealth and also maybe the other family wealths too bc they hate each other.
SERENA BELGRAVE
(Played by Tristen)
17. Your father dying and your mother being sold into slavery and even your own imprisonment is no excuse for you to slack. You've always been hungry and determined and goal-oriented. You've stayed up until the sun rose studying. You've written until your fingers got blisters. You've given yourself a headache from focusing so hard because that's what it takes to run an empire, and you refuse to let it die with you, oh no: it is yours. And it is your duty to carry it on as your father would have, were it not for his idiot partners: correctly, and in a way where the Belgrave family comes out on top. If that means squishing a snob or duking it out with a druggie then so be it.
HUGO BELGRAVE
(Played by Griffin)
18. The anger within you comes in waves: red and furious and ready to hurt. You had it all, and your parents were not foolish enough to let you think it would always be permanent. They knew it could go awry and they were so careful with every decision they made because it meant safety. One wrong decision, out of the thousands they were forced to make, and look where it got you. Now you make people hurt so they can feel as bad as you, via broken jaw or broken heart- it's all the same, and you long for the day when you don't wake up with your hands already balled into fists and your jaw clenched.
BRIELLE PRESCOTT
(Played by Kaitlin)
17. You were a princess, born in a castle. It was easy to assume you'd die there, surrounded by your family, warm and happy. Were you aware of your Daddy's business? Somewhat, yes, but your father didn't bring his work home with him. He was good to you and your brother and your mother. He made it home for dinner, he remembered every birthday, and he pampered you: you never went without. Some say that's what made you so quick to give up, so quick to cry: because you never had to earn anything. But is that so wrong? Every parent says they work so their children never have to go without, so why is it such a crime when a parent actually manages to do it?
ARCHIE PRESCOTT
(Played by Python)
17. You like to consider yourself stronger than your twin sister, at least in the matter of trying to fight back. You have developed some sort of a backbone and, yes, they all called you soft for a reason, but- Ah, what's the use? You're just as spoiled as you could be, and you're hurting. You're always hurting. Everyone around you is so angry, and all you are is sad. You miss the times when things were better. And maybe it makes you selfish, but you never cared about what your Dad did. You knew it was wrong, of course you did, but you wish he hadn't been caught for more than one reason.
CHARLOTTE ROYCE
(Played by Zoe)
18. Anger wears a face on you, doesn't it? Other than your kid brother, there's no one left on this earth you wouldn't mind beating the shit out of. There's a few words that one could use to try and describe you: chaotic, furious, reckless, maybe even manic- but none of them quite get the nail on the head. You see, you like violence. Always have. You have a smile made for war and you look for trouble wherever you can find it. Even if your Pops hadn't died during all this, you probably would have found a way to get in on the action of vengeance in some way or another. Now you have a real reason, though, and you'll stop at nothing to see it through.
MAXEN ROYCE
(Played by Dars)
17. You're a tough guy and you like to live by the seat of your pants. That's always how you've been: unreliable and damn interesting. You started your first business- piercing people's lips and giving them stick tattoos- when you were twelve. Started jacking cigarettes from the uptown women your mother started hanging around and selling those too. You're a good time. And when you bother showing up, people are grateful because you just have a natural charm. But it's all an act. An escape. You run because you're terrified of what you'll feel when you stop to catch your breath.[blockquote]Wanted Character: who u want
