Meet Our Staff!

Introducing the HGRPG Staff!

Here at HGRPG we have a bunch of friendly staff members here to help you! Our staff work in a variety of different departments to ensure our members have the best experience possible writing on the site and participating in our community. 

Meet the Admins:

The admins are the founders & CEO's of the site. They oversee the wider staff team and introduce new events, elements and games mechanics to the site such as Quell twists and Ratmas. 

aya  (Head of Coders)
A founding member of HGRPG, Aya has been part of the site's staff since its inception in 2008. It is through HGRPG that she discovered her passion for programming, modifying forum plugin scripts and building out tooling to help HGRPG run smoothly. Now a software engineer by trade, much of her writing time is relegated to commutes and weekends. She writes 54th Games victor Arbor Halt, 80th tribute Lex Lionel, and in the Retro Games timeline, Adder Ames, 1st Games victor. When she's not writing or making computers do her bidding, she enjoys cooking, sad music, children's cartoons, woodworking, and playing guitar. She lives in New England with her fiancée Lalia and their cat Murphy. Be gay, do crime.

Baby Wessex d9b [earthling]  (Head of Advertistment)

Kay joined the site in May 2011. She was first hired as a Librarian, then promoted to Head Librarian, and finally to Administrator. Over the years, she has made forever friends on THG RPG and credits them with helping her to become a better writer. At home in Northern California, she spends her time with her dog, husband, and young kiddos.

Local witch Dars has been on the site since 2011, and was previously a veteran member and an rp tutor. He is currently in charge of the site's graphics department, and plays the victors of the 6th and 79th Hunger Games, Cordelia Blake and Mackenzie Pryce respectively. He enjoys dungeons and dragons, astrology, tarot, sweaters, coffee, competition reality tv, and acting! Though born and raised in Louisiana, he currently resides in the Bay area in California! Aquarius, Ravenclaw, INTP, District Seven resident.

Meet the Advertisers:

The advertisers help promote the forum, manage affiliates and advertisements, welcome new members to the website, and handle our social media channels.

Azalea is one of our British members who joined at the end of 2014. He has written 13 tributes including runners-up Lux Pelotte [76] and Diana Sayers [81]. Aside from writing his characters, he enjoys writing songs, finding bargains at his local charity shops and going out clubbing with friends. He loves the sesh.

pearl mcclain d4 [ryan]

ryan, the baby staff member in site years, joined the site back in 2017 when he finally decided that he wanted to take a risk and do something different. he was promoted to Vet Member back in june 2019 and then two months later, promoted to advertiser in August of 2019. he graduated with a degree in creative writing and currently writes the 80th victor and survivor anatalia morrisen of district 4 as well as 8th victor marcus emberstatt of district 10. When he isnt writing, hes probably slinging java at starbucks, or sleeping, or avoiding sleep because he is a true sagittarius at heart. we love a mess.

gamemaker sloane ♕ kaяi ♕
Kari has been a member of the site since 2015, and a staff member since 2016. She writes 85th Victor Lysander Mae. When not playing volleyball, running late to various social activities, at the gym, or probably auditioning to become a super-famous model, Kari is training to become a certified PA!

Meet the Mods:

The moderators help make sure HGRPG is a safe and welcoming place to be, be that in-character or within the ooc community. They also enforce our site rules.

Tom
Tom, our friendly mod, has been around HGRPG since 2012. He's previously been a veteran member and writes the 76th Victor Theodore "Teddy" Ursa and surviving 80th Tribute Carter Laws. He's currently a hard working college student trying to get his degree, an enthusiastic video game player, and avid dungeon master for his friends.

Frankel accidentally stumbled upon the site in May 2015. She became a veteran member not long after then RP tutor before doing the switch to moderator. So far she has written many tributes including the 87th Victor Flynn Garner and Parson Cham who survived the 80th games, both of whom are from her favourite District Six. Offline, she can be found with her horse Jimmy and working to help stop the next plague.

Meet the Librarians:

The librarians are responsible for updating our character directories, face claim list, and oversee our activity and reaping checks after the conclusion of each Games. 

Noah Vau - D2 (Cato)
Cato joined the site in 2013. In 2015, he became a librarian. He writes Harbinger Rhodes, the victor of the 71st hunger games, and Yusei Rhee a survivor of the 80th games. Offline, he enjoys watching esports along with watching reality tv shows such as the challenge, survivor, and big brother. In his free time, Cato enjoys playing video games as well as spending time with his dog, Luna.

lance
Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Lance is one of the newer members on HGRPG, joining the site in the latter half of 2015. He initially was a Moderator until 2018, where a love of organization and management prompted him to join the Librarian team. Off the site, Lance is currently in college pursuing a major in journalism , diving into the wondrous world of esports broadcasting, and is forever spending time with his true love - puns. ]

Knuckles
Ems has been a member of the site since January 2013. In school, they never enjoyed writing, but on a whim decided to join the site anyway. Since that moment, they found a passion for writing. They became a veteran member in 2015, and in 2019 they became a librarian. They're an avid animal lover, obsessed with t-rex things, love hanging out with family and friends, and they love helping people. Ems is a paramedic, and it's a calling many do not understand.

Meet the Tutors:

The tutors are here to help you elevate your writing through role-play tutoring. They also host many competitions for writing, graphics and more. 

maverick hale 🌧️ d5 [nyte] (Head Tutor)
Nyte has been a member since 2013 and a staffer since 2014. He writes 84th Victor Beck Hailsham. A Cali native, Nyte is in arguably the cutest relationship on planet earth with his wife and fellow site member Arx. They live with their cats and rat-slash-puppy Ash! 

L△LIA
Lalia joined the site in February 2011 and was hired as a Tutor a few months after. Writer of infamous 63rd Victor-turned-Gamemaker Cricket Antoinette and 80th survivor/petty trash enthusiast Denali Lyons, she enjoys writing manic pixie shitkickers and victorian boys who need to be fed soup. When she isn't writing, she can probably be found unhinging her jaw to eat all of the food, wondering what in the world people mean when they say things like "too much butter" or "I'm not a cat person," getting way too emotional over children's cartoons, and silently smiling when asked if she's a witch. She lives in New England with her fiancée Aya and their goodest floof-a-poof-familiar Murphy.

Meet the Graphics Team:

The Graphics Team make our site look pretty! Anything Photoshop-related that you're after, they're the best people to speak to. The team create site profile banners, event post headers, games tables, and so much more. They also manage the monthly OTM rotation and sidebar.

Kaitlin has been on the site since 2018 and joined staff with the creation of the graphics team in 2021. Previously a veteran member, she won the 81st hunger games with Nico Thorne, resident thorn in all of his friends' side. Though from New England, she lives in California and has grown an incredible and unfortunate intolerance to the cold. She loves being a lil nerd and playing dnd, so message her with your campaign ideas any time!! She also is a big fan of writing shit eating grins though so watch your characters backs. Would like to eat some soup.

Ele has been on the site since 2011 and has served the community as an RP tutor, moderator, retired staff member and now as a graphics team member. They play the victors of the 3rd & 88th Hunger games, Babe Adroxis and Avriel Baptiste, both hailing from District Nine. They're an operations manager at a restaurant / café, an sm manager, a graphic designer and an artist. Sounds like a lot but they're still somehow always found in the woods. They want you to know that trees know when you enter their forest due to mycelium networks activating under your foot like a ripple in a pond and they're so very happy when you visit them. They love to get tattoos, travel, sing and make people laugh.

The coders design and code our forum skin, help run our back-end engine Ripred, and catalogue statistics from the Hunger Games via spreadsheets and our Site Wiki.
