After the Bloodbath

One tribute stands alone above a pile of corpses and roughly two hundred sets of pliers. But though the Shroud may have won this first victory, peace and quiet have hardly settled in before she can here a low, ominous rumbling sound.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, as the song from the fabled ancient tale Cats repeats itself for the twenty third time, the Shroud sees them. An almost literal wave of furbies, rumbling towards where the center of the conflict and the fated duel between the hallows and a now disassembled orb of corn had taken place.

The effect is instantaneous and absolute. Save for parting around the individual cubicles and the Shroud herself, the wave is unrelenting, all consuming. In the span of a few seconds, nine different variants of Toms and one ratchet fat cat are utterly devoured by the swarm, as are each of the corpses from the fight and all but fifteen of the individual sets of pliers.

And just as soon as they had arrived, so to do they vanish, disappearing into parts unknown...for now.
