Part I: Awakening

The sun rises without incident on the beginning of the second day, and many have already forgotten the not-quite-an-earthquake from the night before. Preparing for their first real day of conflict, the tributes arm themselves, set out for the day, prepare to take on the first of hopefully many tests to overcome.

What they do not expect are the explosions. Three of them, to be precise, once again originating from the direction of the Cornucopia. For any tribute currently not at the place where it all began, this is all that they are able to discern, try as hard as they may to find out otherwise.

And as the wind picks up, they swear they can hear an ungodly shriek…
