Part IV: Hollow

You’ve done it. You’ve won. Or at the very least, you haven’t died. Right now, those two things go hand in hand.

The Experiments are unlike anything you have ever seen before. More humanlike than any muttation you have ever seen, yet very distinctly beastlike in nature as well. Whether they rained fire, snapped whip-like appendages, or showered you with projectiles, to escape from those fearsome creatures was no small feat, especially given that death was prevalent no matter which one was faced.

But even as each beast retreats from the fight, even as each set of glittering purple eyes fades into the rapidly encroaching darkness, a sick feeling forms in your stomach.

One way or another, you have a feeling that this is far from over.
