Calmness settles at my core as though the destiny, I never knew of, was finally claiming me to it’s chaotic sanity. My fingers crush against the textured wall that glides of fresh paint, but wrinkles beneath of its true age - my senses aching to assure me that reality was truly upon me. Just a few years ago none of this was in my realm of knowledge, safety coddling me in the idea that one of those silly careers would volunteer for my sister or I if one of us were to ever be reaped. Then I began to train as one of those silly careers, and now I’m facing what I’ve been training to do for a slim two years now.
Gala Thomas
From the start of it all my sisters had rejected my passion for strengthening myself through the career path. It wouldn’t be a surprise if none of them are to come visit me; disapproving of my foolish choice to volunteer for my twin, that I didn’t give it a second to see if someone else were to do the deed. But she is my twin, mine to protect. Though she may very well follow their influence and not come by to wish me a farewell either. And with Alexander chosen as well, perhaps no one will visit me in my final chambers before my true life begins.
The door creeks open, and the fierce Brunette who trained me some months back enters with solace in her chocolate eyes. Comfort and pain sprinkled from our times together, all of which formed me into the competitive, stubborn, warrior I am now. A gentle grin pushes at my cheeks at the site of her. Our journey together feels to be a lifetime ago, yet like it was just yesterday all at the same time. “Think Matthew would be proud?” I question in a monotoned voice, not asking her perspective - knowing Kyanite, she’ll give her opinion with a plethora of words. And my guess is in silence her pride for me will gleam, but verbally solely her fears will breach.
