Winter winds nipped at her bare fingertips, singing wailing hymns as they pass. The night sky is spread amongst the horizon - painted with burning stars and gleaming constellations. Georgina lets her eyes wander—she points out the shapes the stars frame and counts the creases of the emerald-crusted leaves dancing upon their beech wood branches.

The silence is comforting after days of being herded around and no moments to breath. Yesterday, she felt like she was drowning, pulled under sun-speckled waves and fear wrapping it's shadowy tendrils around her heart. But this stillness in the air - no hushed whispers or thundering applause, only her heartbeat.

But the silence didn't last, light footsteps echoing through the rooftop. She adjusts the worn-and-grey shawl draped across her chest, letting the fabric cling to her slackened bones. Her head whips around - turning to see a girl with mahogany hair swaying in the polar breeze.

"I'm so sorry, I can leave if you want."
