Maybe there was more for you here than you ever realized. You, a boy with nothing but creativity floating out of your hands, put into a place that you did not understand. Maybe it was because you came from meager means, and the thought of being usurped and dumped into a place that was so intrinsically different made it that much more uncomfortable.

But you could at least enjoy the little things that it had to offer.

Paints that you had never seen before, all at your disposal as long as you did what you were told. For the most part, they left you alone as long as you showed up. As an Izar, you knew your name carried a certain amount of leverage in the capitol. You could thank Salome, or Gabriel, or Iago, or any other Izar that had fallen before you. They paved the way so you could possibly make it out.

The sad part was, you were reserved to the idea of dying.

But that didnt mean that everything was awful. Just weird. A feeling that couldnt be shook because it kind of just followed you wherever you went. Just like the face you carried, or your sister, Sarina. You wondered where she was, right up until you felt the touch of another girl that you did not know.

However, the look in her eyes seemed kind.

A rarity here that you had yet to seen.

"I dont hear that too often." You said quietly as you resigned yourself to feeling just a little sorry for yourself. "Do you wanna talk about it?" You had always been the one to do better by listening, and this was not a situation that was any different.

Maybe it was because you always had someone to remind you of home.

And it was obvious that not many people here could say that.
