You dont know how you made it out alive at this point. The amount of blood you lost was the last thing on your mind at this point though. It was all about surviving, and it was clear that you had done just that. Survive.
It was like a word you had known way to well. To survive, the way it rolled off your tongue like it was a birthright. Something that you had always been destined to do. Something you yearned for more than you actually hoped for. It happened and there was a weight lifted from your shoulders because of it. That and you noticed that Sarina had made it out herself. That was even more important at this point. You knew that much.
You just hoped that she did too.
Time had passed and you took a moment to catch your breath as you heard a loud beep in the air coming towards you. You reached out and let the parachute fall straight into your hands, and as you hugged it close, you could feel the sting of your wounds intensify. ”Damnit” you said rather quickly, putting the capsule on the ground and opening it to find some medical supplies that was much needed. You pulled the needle and thread out right away and went to work on the gash in your chest, needling through your skin like you had done it before.
Maybe in another life.
And you pressed your lips together once you pulled the string tighter, feeling the wound close up. You watched as everyone started to filter through. You were worried about them, but once you saw walter and eloise, you could at least breathe just a little easier. But where was absolam? That was the real question.
You made your way through the forest and took in the sights as they came in. You never imagined setting foot in a place like this. All of it was so foreign, yet it did remind you of home in the weirdest way. There was nothing more then foliage and dense fog, but none of that surprised you. It was just like another day in the district after all. Nothing you were afraid of.
However, you heard running in the distance, and you knew that it could be anything at this point. You might have been wounded, but you could still fight. The knife in your hand still warm to the touch, you held it up as you waited for whatever surprise was coming your way. ”Show yourself?” you said rather loudly as you waited to see what was going to on the other side of your blade.
You held your breath until then.
