Xavier was barely alive after yesterday, and for some reason, I actually felt really glad he had survived. It was like I actually cared about him. I'd never really cared for anyone in my life other than myself, and even then, I didn't care about myself all that much, either. I cared about Angevin and Sarina to an extent, too, I realized. Although, I'd admit, I wasn't very happy with Sarina after the fact that she killed Willow (as I discovered the girl from Seven was called thanks to the help of the anthem). I wanted to do that myself.

I remember the thrill I felt when I cut off Willow's hand. I wanted to spill more blood. I wanted to kill. I wanted to rip another tribute apart, limb for limb, basking in the chaotic glory of it all.

The next morning, we found ourselves in an area of the arena that consisted of a river winding up and down the banks. It was fitting, being by a river, given my name. Perhaps I'd get my first kill here. Oh how I'd love that.

What timing, too, as the tributes we'd encountered yesterday were in front of us once again, this time one fewer in number. Xavier asked them to leave, but not before piercing the chest of the girl from Six, followed by Sarina saying something and cutting the girl's arm clean off. The scent of fresh blood filled the air. I breathed it in- it was glorious.

Before I could join in on the action, however, Six struck back at Xavier, followed by one of the girls who was with her, who I believed was from District Three. I didn't like the idea of just letting this fight go on without getting involved and spilling some blood myself, so I readied my axe and struck at the girl from Three.

"Now that Willow's gone, I'm ready for your blood, too." I told her as I swung.

Never being bothered by the sight of blood was a gift in it's own. While the others around were puking up their guts, the image just didn't seem to be enough to fuss over. Stitching up Xavier was a chore. The missing limb was the hardest to work around but the other wounds were easier to deal with. Words were exchanged between the two of us and Sarina and River seemed to stay to themselves.

Once again, it was my caring for her district partner and for the moment, I wish it had been Silas. At least then it would look like I was trying to help my own district. He was another district, another family that would be watching me or waiting for me to turn on him. It's happened before and the thought crossed my mind. What would happen when it came down to the end and I have to stare at him face to face and draw the weapon against his skin I only just now cared for?

Once he had been bandaged and given the net to keep those damn mosquito's off, I glanced to the others before wrapping myself up like a burrito and turning away from him.

My mind drifted off into nothing.

It's easy to sleep when there was no one I needed to look after. We are all officially adults here, fighting for our lives and why would I want to keep watching and risk a need for someone who will likely become my enemy in a days time?

I glanced back over to him once more, watching his eyes never close before darkness overtook me and was woken by a screams of something ungodly, jerking up from my slumber with a string of curses.

"The hell..." I rub my eyes, curiosity written on my face as the group gets up to start our journey. Slowly, I watch them walk off before I muster the need to rise.

The river came around at all points. It held my gaze, transfixed upon the messy surface until movement caught my eye. Xavier took off running while I stayed behind. The three figures, the five legs that caught my attention only put things back into prospective. They had followed us. I shook my head and as the others began to fight, I held back until River decided to attack the girl who'd hit me yesterday. Only, the outcome came out with a ridiculous result which seemed to erupt laughter from me and as the girl that had jumped on my back the day previous had copied River, I retrieved the weapon from my bag.

"River - what was that?" I questioned her as I broke the distance between me and the girl. I needed to protect myself and if that was to happen, I needed the others to survive this fight part two. The gamemakers are fiends for allowing this to happen two days in a row. Didn't Xavier suffer enough? With a shake of my head, I had to stop this - for my own sake.

It was over as soon as it had started, and Sarina intended to kneel and rinse off her blade again, although it would never feel clean. But a strange figure with feathers burst forward from the water causing her heart to nearly leap out of her chest, and she decided that it wouldn't be good to stay here much longer. She scooped up her backpack from the riverbed, and all the blood drained from her face drained as she realized one of her items was missing.

"Mierda," she swore under her breath, zipping up her backpack and swinging it over her shoulder. She then raised her voice so her allies would hear. "Let's get out of here. Xavier gets points for this one, I guess."

My blade missed its target, but so did the blade of the girl who was targeting me. This didn't matter in the end, though, as Xavier's next strike took down the girl from six. Her body fell to the ground. A cannon sounded. She was dead.

Somewhere in the blur of everything that happened, there was an intense scream coming from giant rooster-thing that emerged from the river. I gritted my teeth and ignored it the best I could.

Ripred fucking damn it. Once again, one of my allies got a kill instead of me getting to do the honors. I mean, part of me was glad that she was dead, as it meant that none of the four of us had been the cause of that cannon sound. Still, though... half of our lethal quartet had killed other tributes, and I wasn't one of the ones who'd gotten the chance to do the honors.

Before I got the chance to say or do anything further, however, Sarina was getting the hell away from the area, and one of the girls from the other alliance had started to run off. That meant that it was my time to go, too.

"Alright, another one bites the dust. Let's get the fuck out of here, then."

This is my filler to not hold up the rest of the flees. Will fill this in when I am more capable of writing. :/

-Collects Xavier, advising him to follow her and chases after the other two. Watches in the distance as Georgina and Tris escape - glowers.

-"Xavier, I like you. You take advice well and do well with it. Now, next time - don't waste time. Swing closer to the target - both eyes open." Chuckles and gets a headache from the screeching Hei Hei.

-Takes out the picture of Avonlea Angevin and travels.
