Imhotep Zontini
Going off to live on his own had proven to be one of the best decisions that Tep had ever made. Sure, he got a bit lonely not having anyone to talk to at home anymore, but at least he was away from the constant fighting and bickering that happened at his family's home.
He didn't have to listen to Horus being full of himself all the time, thinking he was better than everyone else. He didn't have to listen to Bastet snapping at everyone to get away from her. No longer would he have to tolerate Set's angry outbursts that seemed to crop up for no reason at the most inopportune times. Thoth's know-it-all remarks correcting his every grammatical error and any factually incorrect statements he made were no longer his problem. Serket's scorpion collection and her unhealthy obsession with it would no longer be there to make Tep uncomfortable, either. He was free of it all. He always knew he didn't fit in with his family, and now that he was on his own, everything felt so much better.
Being away from his family was certainly nice, but now he was completely alone, pretty much all the time. That's why he had decided that he needed to get out today. Tep made himself look his best before leaving the house. He wore some nice jeans- not the ones he had with all the rips in them. What he wore on top was a red polo shirt, free of creases and wrinkles, unlike many of his other shirts (he needed to do something about those other shirts). His shoes were a pair of black sneakers that he'd owned for years, but were still in surprisingly good shape.
Leaving the house, he had made his way to small farmer's market in the District Square. Lots of people went there every day to buy and sell different things, so it was often quite crowded. He didn't mind a crowd. He liked meeting new people. Plus, where there were people, there was always the chance he could meet the one, right? Tep had always been a hopeless romantic, trying to flirt with those he found attractive and rarely getting anywhere with it. He figured that it was always worth a shot, though.
Looking around at what the farmer's market had to offer, Tep ended up buying a few different things, but nothing all too exciting. What truly caught his attention while he was there wasn't anything that was being bought or sold. Instead, it was a young woman who he couldn't seem to take his eyes off of. Deciding he'd give it his best shot, Tep approached her.
"I hope you don't mind me saying," he started. "You're quite pretty, and I certainly wouldn't mind getting to know you."
Tep never really knew if he went too far (or didn't go far enough) with his attempts at flirting, but he always gave it his best effort. He knew there was a chance (a pretty high chance, actually) that he was just terrible at it, but that wouldn't stop him from trying.
