Songbirds & Snakes Event | Day 6: Your dream 10th arena

Considering the 10th games wouldn't be as advanced as our modern games, and basing the arena concept and its limitations we currently have in our Retro Games, for the 10th games I would love for tributes to be placed on a small island.

Roughly the size of a stadium, a sandy island with trees and shrubbery would sit in the center of the arena with a 6-feet deep ocean moat surrounding it. This would be an inaugural arena to celebrate 10 years - and serve as the introduction of nature and the elements into the games and arena twists for Quells.

Tributes can attempt to drown their competitors in the water - but they'll have to be careful. Nine sharks, signifying each Victor, swim in the depths of the ocean as they circle the island.

Another quell twist: only TWELVE spears are stabbed into the sand, meaning tributes will not only have to fight for their lives but fight for a weapon too. Only half of the tributes will find a weapon, meaning the other half will have to use their bare fists to fight or attempt to claim a spear.

Half of the games will be the scramble for weapons, and the other half will be a fight to the death. The aftermath would serve as inspiration to Gamemakers to come for the introduction of the iconic Cornucopia.
