Jimmy has always been the type of kid to barge past all the others and be the first in line for his serving of rations. First for everything. But not the first in line when there is some damn scary shit in the road, he is quick to push the weakling in front and follow’s their lead. Shit, he never knows what is lurking around the corner, its better to let someone else be eaten by the predator so he can make a dash for it. He knows for a fact that he would not stand a chance in the games. Unless running away is a good survival method.

But damn, does he think he is talented. There is no time to be a sad orphan kid, instead he is quick to participate in the illegally betted on marathons in Ten. Cross country runs across the crop fields, with the occasional obstacle to tackle. Sometimes it fills his pockets, the bookies love him as he always wins.

It helps him draw in the popularity too. Older girls and boys his age. He never has the same one for a long time. It is like only wearing a shirt once and sometimes…he wears two shirts at once! The orphans are not impressed with his wild social and sex life but whatever, he has never listened to them the entire time he has been in there. A kid abandoned on the streets after so many attempts at being adopted. He will be nineteen soon so the world will be his to roam.

He is like a seagull when he rocks back to the Pond, a loud mess that causes an eruption until he finally hits the hay. Energy has been left to fester inside of him, the four walls of the orphanage are not a place for him to grow.

It is why he is so damn short!
