I don't give a FUCK if Kyle said I can't come to his house anymore, I'm still gonna turn up! Or turn down? Is that what the kids say these days? I gotta ask Maddie. Man she's a little annoying, like a little sister who wants to follow you around, but she's a sweetheart you know? She means well! Plus she's like the most popular kid in her grade and knows all the know-how and the what's it's, so I've kinda taken her under my wing! Poor kid will wander into a drug den if I'm not careful, but I feel like she'd befriend all the crackheads there anyway and have them all baking cookies singing kum-bay-fucking-ahh. God bless her. 

Yeah so I broke a window last time, so what Kyle? Your house is a fuckin' dump, it actually made the place look better! Everyone was complaining about the smell so I solved a problem. Fresh air and some jock ass bully picking on the peppy kids now on the lawn. Two birds one stone! I'll fight Kyle, hell, I'll put him through the window myself to be honest! He and Julian, two in one! Haha! Two birds one stoner! 

I don't know man, I just don't like seeing the little guy get picked on. Call me a fuckin' hero complex, maybe it's got something to do with my childhood, I just can't stand by when the little kids are getting the stick of it - even if they are Careers. Pah, who needs 'em, everyone knows you can be a jock without being a jock. I'm not a show off, I just put on a show - but unlike them, I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty. I'll even stick up for fuckin' Pietro, fuck sakes, and I'm 95% sure he's absolutely lost the plot!

This side of Four is a strange one. Half rich kids who aren't preppy enough to be popular, half street rats, and then the rest of the odd bunch mixed in for good measure. I guess you could call me a street rat, or maybe just an odd-one-out. I live with my Dad and my kid siblings, we're nothing special. Just working class tryna get by, keeping our heads low and dodging the tessera collectors and crossing our fingers at the reaping every year. But damn, being the oldest sucks. It especially sucks hard when you don't have a Mom, fuckin' deadbeat bitch! I don't need her, pah! 

My sisters do, though, so I had to step up in her place. I'm not bitter about it to be honest. I know I should be. That I've had to sacrifice so she could go off and be independent again. That she abandoned us. But I like looking after them. Seven and four, bless their hearts, little angels - even when they rootle through my shit. I'll help out when I can. Doing shit like cooking every once in a while when Dad has to work late or picking them up from school, Maddie and her crew love giving them piggy back rides and playing dolls with them on the walk home. And seeing them happy and healthy is satisfactory enough. Knowing that if Mom tries to stroll back in through the front door one day they'll want me to hug and kiss them goodnight and not her, well, that brings a little smile to my face.

At least Dad tries. He's good with the little ones. But I'm too old to bond with, one foot already out the door, hardly ever home and when I am they're usually all sleeping. Best they don't know what I'm up to. Doing favours for people I shouldn't talk to, getting a call at three a.m. cause one of the kids like Maddie needs help, holding some idiot's hair back as they vomit into a toilet. Throwing some dickhead through a window while a drunk crowd cheers and hollers. Y'know, normal teen stuff. At least Dad doesn't ask, just asks if I'm okay and if I'm safe. I'm always alright, and I'm always as safe as I can be. If I'm not, nobody else is gonna take care of me.

Aw shit, that's why I'm such a Mom to these kiddos huh? Knew it had something to do with my childhood. Well, if Mom gave me one thing aside from my appearance it's being a good big sister slash mom-friend! Way better than the straight black hair that can't hold a curl to save itself, my ridiculously obnoxious eyebrows I gotta hack at with tweezers every other day or the cystic acne that sprouts on my chin twice a month. Knobbly knees and weirdly large feet too. Like there's a reason I don't wear sandals. Thanks for nothing, Mom!

She didn't even leave me any clothes, let alone dress sense, so I gotta shop in the masculine section. Hoodies and a pair of scuffed sneakers is just easy. Leave the glitter and the heels to the Maddie's of this world. Not that there's anything wrong with being pretty - it's so sweet how they get all dolled up! I just got better things to do with my time and not a lot of it to spare, y'know? What am I gonna say when I get called up to help move a couch, sorry, gotta do my hair first! Naw, fuck that, let's move a couch!

Not that I could do it by myself, spindly limbs and next to no muscle. But I'd certainly try!
