A heart breaks with every night, left behind pieces of a losing game.
Teddy had been having nightmares of explosions and molten rock too many nights in a row for it to be normal. Empty eyes and heavy blame thrown to his shoulders, he's been awake for while now, late at night where the world is meant to sleep. He's almost certain about his sleep this night, where he's jumped more times than not from a glass falling in the dining area or the sound of a fire going. It's strange being sent back in time to a place where even the simplest of things sets him off once more, but he wanted to be a good mentor. Mackenzie and Jacinta had their own problem; which he had just found out leaving his heart feeling emptier than before.
Fists tense from running into Jacinta Salazar and knowing that Teddy Ursa was nothing more than a friend to Mackenzie Pryce. It had been fine, but part of him felt sick to his stomach about the whole situation. Parson had a kid. Mackenzie would have one too. Part of him knew he wasn't getting any younger anymore, an annoyance builds in his chest as he's already got an idea forming in his head to help both his tributes and himself. Grabbing a spear in the training area, he approaches the first of his mentees; knowing this wasn't exactly a typical way to train. The grasp of the handle of the spear sending him back to those days where Chester and Rory and him had fought Wendell Gordon. Stopping in front of Terra, he lets his voice escape, tiredly.
"Terra. I was just looking for you."
Eyes glance across the area to see no one left in the room.
"I want to see how well you are with a weapon. Mind a little competition?"table by zoe
