CLIMATEWhen the butterflies leave, they reveal a clear sky for the first time all Games. Anywhere else, it would be a beautiful evening; here, even under tranquil skies, true peace is hard to come by. And in case you needed reminding, the Anthem bursts into light and color beneath the stars right on cue:Meredith Strauss, District 29 gone, only 15 remain. Just 14 more must die if you ever hope to see your home again.
Daemon Lazre, District 6
Steel Campano, District 8
Congratulations on surviving Day Six!
The Anthem fades into silence and the night darkens, then eventually emerges into morning, stars gently twinkling into existence and then blinking out like lights on a dashboard you’ll never see. Fog arrives with the morning, descending on the Arena and making it almost impossible to see two feet in front of your face. Those of you familiar with fog likely expect it to burn off as the sun rises, but as time stretches on it seems, if anything, thicker, until you can barely see the ground beneath you.
... Can you see the ground beneath you? You look harder, and there is only sky--a sensation familiar to those of you who were at the Cloud Spire a few days ago, but no easier to deal with.
But never mind that. The fog is more of an immediate issue, making it difficult to keep track of allies and enemies alike; you can see them, barely, if you stick close, and you hear each other well enough, but navigating is tricky business. And the figures that you swore were holograms draw near for the first time, steadily growing more corporeal, even going so far as to nudge you this way and that--not violently, but insistently.
It isn’t until something you thought was a fixed point--the hand of an ally in yours, or the footsteps of an approaching opponent, or the voice you’ve been tracking all morning--shimmers back into ethereal formlessness that you realize just how badly you've been led astray.
General Information
Day 7 ends on August 1.
As with the Cloud Spire, Day 5 event, the ground is still present and interacted with as usual; it’s simply hologrammed over.Mandated FightsB

A Tribute took double healing.
B Due to the sheer number of fights this day, if there are more than three tributes in the Catacombs on Day Eight, the Catacombs will have multiple fights, and multiple tributes will return on Day Nine. These fights will be split according to Day Eight initiative; if there are an odd number of tributes, those with the three highest initiative rolls will fight.
C Kenji was chosen for the mutt fight via random die roll.
