I’m not quite sure how I got this invite, I think one of the organizers is a major fan of my work. So like, they sent me the tickets, told me to come along and here I am. There was going to be sooo many victors here tonight at the sponsorship ball. Before I left, I hesitated, wondering if I should bring my camera with me. Filming this and putting it on my blog was sure to rake in the views. But like I stopped, and the ticket had said no photos so I don’t want to get kicked out.

The dress I’m wearing is amazing, lowkey hoping that Sampson Crowe is here because I want to ask them to make me a new one. I’m a fan of my stylist already, but they’re nowhere near as good as Sardonyx’s child! Like how could they? Sampson is iconic. Bambi? Who’s that? So like ten years ago, really.

But anyway. The place is packed and as I enter they take my tickets and ask me if I have a camera, I tell them no, giggling as I head to the food. No one can tell me I’m not allowed to drink so I grab a glass from the nearest waiter, he gives me a look, opens his mouth as if to say something but stops. I stare him down. Eye to eye and glare. He backs off I drink this disgusting liquid with a crinkled nose.

Holy shit, you guys. There are so many hot hot hot victors here. Don’t even get me started, I can see Nico Thorne talking to Opal Earnest and I almost trip over another person as I try and spy what’s happening. This is incredible, you guys!!! There’s so much materiel here just waiting to be exploited in my fanfics and on my blog. Are Nico and Opal a thing? She’s old enough to be his grandma. Ew.

The crowd obscures them and my eyes dance around, drawn to the top as I see Patricia talking to another woman dressed in a suit. Who’s that? I don’t know her so like she must not be that important because I know everyone with a grain of salt. I take another sip of my drink, and regret it, spitting the contents back into the glass with a twist of my lips. Why do they even drink this stuff? It’s so gross.

No fucking way.

My heart stops like literally stops in my chest. I’m grabbing my chest, feeling the way my heart has changed, fluttering against my fingers. No fucking way. This can’t be real. I’m blinking, again and again, making sure it’s really him.
