stella provence ;
Sweet, unlovable Parker has decided to start a war.
No gunfire, no wads of food flying through the air — only backhanded remarks that must be accounted for. Stella waits by the classroom door, some silly extracurricular that screams 'my schedule is proof that I'm crying out for help.'
She checks her nails, silently fuming. Where the girl in question finally found her backbone is confounding, but why she chose Stella as her target is another matter entirely. Petty revenge isn't the dancer's style, at least not by itself.
Accusing her of hurting Laina had been nothing more than a public challenge. If Parker thinks it's appropriate to belittle a fellow student in front of their peers, then so be it. But if it's a game that she wants to play, here's a curve ball just for her.
"Parker!" Stella shouts gleefully, brought out of her thought process by the bell ringing and the shadowy figure walking out of the door. Not that it's dark or anything in the hall, the girl is just gloomy. And sad. Biting off more than she can chew.
Let her choke.
"I was hoping to find you, it seems we have a problem." She bites her lip for a moment, never once bringing up the altercation in the cafeteria or the tension in homeroom. "I got lost earlier, and I found myself in the dark room."
Then she laughs, just awkwardly and sweetly enough. "I'm so, so sorry to tell you this, but I got so excited looking at the photographs you were developing that I got clumsy." The laughter stops, she fakes a pout.
"I knocked over a bottle of chemicals into the bath, and it started bubbling and the pictures got warped and," she catches her breath and places a hand over her chest, mocking sympathy. "I just wanted to apologize personally. I can't imagine this is easy to hear."
But it's music to her own ears.
