Why the sport teams begin practice on the first day is beyond Stella. Sure, she's scheduled for dance lessons within the next hour, but this? It just seems barbaric. Piles of homework waiting on their desks, and yet the athletes spend their precious time throwing balls around?

She sighs, sipping on her coffee as she waits for her favorite flower/worst thorn in her side, Cleo Burns, to finish on the volleyball court. So many hours left before nightfall, and Stella is already exhausted. So many people to see, so many things to do.

So many battles to fight.

Her knife is hidden behind her back when her friend joins her, and she smiles before glancing down at Cleo's sweaty attire. "First, I brought you a latte." She holds it out to the other girl, before pulling it away with an airy laugh. "Second, you need to shower before someone catches me alone with you."

It's just harmless teasing, she still gives the drink to the aspiring prom queen. "Kidding, of course. You're always welcome to a seat at my table." She taps a spot next to her on the bench, nodding to it. She throws back another shot of the caffeine. "Well, my dear friend, what are our thoughts on this school year?"

She glances down at her nails, thinking about her cuticles need some care.

"A lot of big personalities this time around. Bigger than usual."

Her eyes meet Cleo's, and she smirks playfully.

"More people for us to cut down to size, hmm?"
