The man went back and forth between the district three candidates. Spark had tenure, same as Hope and Izar, it was something that caught his eye, something reliable. If anything else, at least there was a precedent; however, that leaves the ego in question. District Three would break his platform if it didn't land correctly, and he needed a candidate both promising and persuasive.
So he filed to the next index to Diamond Nixton.
Valentino needed equipment, and a bargain large enough to build a legacy on top. Between Krigel, Le Roux and Strauss, Valentino had enough man power to build a goddamn trojan horse with, but he needed security. Quite literally, he needed equipment and technology and it was either Three or bust in that regard. Spark may not agree financially with what he was asking, but Nixton.
She may not be in a position to say no. The dial tone beeps familiar in his ear, the old number pad on the phone growing increasingly comforting as he makes each phone call. "Hello, Ms. Nixton? This is Valentino Salazar," he begins, partially wondering if catching candidates off guard is a viable tactic.
How intimidating it must be to hear his bargains at the end of the night. "I'm reaching out on behalf of District Seven mostly, as the upcoming mayor I'm hoping to get a head start on securing my platform's ambition. Before talking too much on that, I must ask," he's talking too much again. Bulldozing the phone calls, getting straight to the meat of the conversation.
Picky eater syndrome, truly.
"How is the election going on your end?"
