Fluorescent lights illuminates every crevasse of this bright kitchen, leaving not a shade to be sly. Activity even livens it as staff and Avoxes alike scatter this way and that with such purpose, though for now the girls remain unnoticed. Honestly, Charlie wasn’t even sure how she found herself in such a spot. One moment she was amongst the dining hall convincing the volunteer from Eight to place a bet with her, and the next they were searching down hallways they probably weren’t allowed in - and now here. Her fingers encircle around the neck of a wine bottle, before a voice alerts her of their presence being noticed.
“You two aren’t supposed to be in here.” Fear rattles the employee’s tone as if he were the one in trouble, though he accuses them none the less.
Automatically the bottle of wine slides behind Charlie’s back, as her and Iris are baking towards the exit. “Must have made a wrong turn, my bad.” A grin spreads across the Blonde’s lips as the door opens behind them, and they make a break for it down the hall. And to no surprise she hears the footsteps promising of them being followed.
Footsteps, and footstep’s squeaks upon the floor, echoes against the walls; distant chatter scarcely heard overhead. But fear doesn’t poke at the Blonde’s veins as she runs side by side with her newly found friend. Fear never joined her - only the freedom of the path of ahead. Until two innocent bystanders loiter the path ahead, clearly fellow tributes by the attire that sticks them all out like sore thumbs.
Another Redhead, though slightly smaller then the Blonde’s new friend, and a Brunette of similar stature is thrusted into their innocent fun. Such youth embraces both of their features, too young to be apart of the annual event ahead, yet too old to not be. At least for this situation Charlie could hopefully get them all out of it. “I recommend you guys come with us.” She strongly suggests as they pass the two, pulling at one of their elbows in encouragement to follow. And after another turn of a corner she pulls open the nearest door.
