There is no refuge from the fatal frost. Even after the chorus of canons has quieted into night's chilling embrace, the winds only cry louder.
Another sound emerges from these hateful gales of ice, it bellows like a dark omen from where this world began. Fueled by the forceful fury of the blizzard's breath, the eternal tone of the Cornucopia transforms into a droning low level constant cry. Like an instrument, its single sound song echoes across the entire arena endlessly. As for the snow, the days of light fluff and winter wisps are over. A white curtain covers all of the arena as the winds whip without remorse. However, some sections prove safer than others.
The Ghost Trees shudder and shake, some even shatter, but the forest does not break. The same story holds true for the Glass Lake which vibrates, but holds firm in its frozen frame. That is, all except where a single hole in the ice seems to refuse to freeze back over. This is where the slight security ends. At the Bonfire, something strange is occurring. The Blizzard attempts to take its light, but finds itself in an eternal war with the flames. Embers and frost fill the air in a fearsome fight, but neither gives way to the other. As for the Foxholes, a frenzy of furry inhabitants flee with fright from the Blizzard that devours their home.
[The Foxholes are no longer accessible to tributes.]
It's all ending. You've seen it before, the way the arena changes when its close to crowning its Victor. As the Anthem takes to the sky, you watch knowing that your life will change forever in the next few days. It will end or it will begin.

Your jaw jitters as you silently shiver counting down those that are left with you. Four.
Over a week has passed now since you've felt anything close to warmth, but you can sense it: the end. Only three more must die for you to find freedom from the frost.
Congratulations on surviving Day Seven!
