Has a sister who died before he was born but his parents tried to hide that from him, they failed.
Constant pressure to live up to the Kelly name. Wealthier families have helped the Kelly family get to where they are, and they have expectations in return.
His father is verbally abusive and manipulative. His father also trained Gauche to believe that his money made him better than others. This turned Gauche into a cocky jackass.
His father also pressured him to train to be a career. Gauche was told the best way to bring honor to the Kelly family was to win the games. Gauche is terrified of death and wants nothing to do with the games, as he doesn’t believe training will help at all. Especially considering the amount of victors that aren’t careers. He trained from eight to seventeen.
Around sixteen, Gauche began partying regularly with friends.
By seventeen, Gauche was dependent on Alcohol and drank heavily and nightly. It’s become a coping mechanism. If he drinks till he forgets, he doesn’t have to remember most of his life.
His mother loves him, his father had him out of obligation.
