It's a battle of teeth and tongues, chaos incarnate as we abandon all sense and lose ourselves in a night of broken boundaries. Bottles I don't remember emptying lay heaped behind me, the sour scent of warm beer all I can smell as I watch Spencer make his way toward Honey. It's all a game, something meant to be simple and sweet that we've gone and corrupted because that's all we know how to do anymore. Like we can't stand looking at something that isn't as twisted as us.

Then Spencer kisses her forehead and it's so gentle I wonder if summer's erupted beneath her skin. Not that I watch long enough to see if flowers bloom.

Spinning the bottle was like staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, but it's not until it lands that I feel like I've pulled the trigger. My eyes snap to his, too quick to explain away as involuntary. Blood must be leaking out my ears because I can feel the way they're burning. I drank too much and ate too little, all too quickly.
