"Thank you for saving me back there, Blondie," the boy says to me as we both struggle away from the chaos.

"All in a day's work, buddy." Usually I'm the one that needs some sort of saving, yet here I was being the hero. Recurring, cooky character no longer!

"Now I can still have a chance to save Serenity's eyes..."

"Oh wow, that sounds.. So brave of you," here I am, fighting for stardom, but this boy is working for his family.

We walk into an arcade- well, I walk, he limps. Scooby Doo: Cyber Chase realness up in here, so we might have to watch out for an electrifying ghost popping up.

"Wanna play some games while we're here?"

I smile, and walk up to a station. "Sure, I'd like that. But I'll destroy you!"

"You're on, Blondie!"

Two creatures stand atop the machine; a bird and a tiny hedgehog. One floats into my ally's arms and the other rolls down onto my shoulder. Friends, I suppose? Everyone needs an animal sidekick. Dynamite. I name the little hedgehog Dynamite.

Enthralled in the video games, it seems like we didn't even notice there were other people here until it was too late.

Oh well, I guess we've got to battle now.

I ready my drumstick- I mean spear- and step into the fight.

One of the girls catches my eyes. I can recognize her from anywhere.. That orange turtleneck.. The glasses.. The bob!

Twerps appear out of nowhere and they're all strange. Like the strangest, but they've got these walkie talkies and like I know Serenity would love them, maybe dusk would too? I rush towards them, but damn I get my foot snagged on a cable and fall face first onto the floor.

"Youch! I just wanted to show you how a real duelist duels."

Eventually, he gets the walkie talkies, but at what cost. If there's one thing he knows, he's seen Stranger Things. The sound of a drum somewhere goes badum tiss and he doesn't understand why. He also doesn't understand the alien things. The kid with the weird haircut. The white horse that weirdly reminds him of Maximillion Pegasus, gross. Or that robot who clearly was puking from eating a nasty ass hotdog. Of course, there was also Jinkies with her glasses. Something seemed weird about her, but right now, he was dueling with his heart in the cards.

God, Time Wizard's effect needed to activate surely.

Oop there goes his hand... Oh well, luckily he still has one to carry his cards in. I'll just pocket that for when I get the money to get Serenity her eyes.

His turn! He draws and it's a good one!

Eyeing his hand, he can see a plan starting to form!

"I will use Time Wizard's effect. Let me just...."

He flips a coin, heads or tails determines the fate.

Yes it's heads, just like he predicted.
