Fun and Games [Astraea/Michael] Blitz

Michael seems very excited about my suggestion to do something fun. So excited, in fact, that he jumps up from his chair at the kitchen table and the chair nearly flips. I love seeing my little brother so happy. His smile lights up the room, I swear. He's one of the best things in my life, between his constant ability to find fun things to do, and how happy he is when someone suggests doing one of those things.

"How about we build a blanket fort? What do you think of that? You can choose some of your favorite blankets and we'll put something fun together! How does that sound?" I say to him, an excited tone to my voice. Sometimes I feel as if I get just as excited about these sorts of things as he does.

When Michael hears what I have to say, his excitement is through the roof. Immediately, he runs to go get some blankets. I laugh a quiet laugh that he can't hear from the other room, but when he comes back, the smile is still on my face. His smile is even wider than my own. He asks me how the blankets he has are, his arms full of colorful blankets with different patterns on them.

"Perfect!" I tell him. "Help me pull some chairs out so we can drape the blankets over them! This'll be fun!"

I know he's already excited beyond belief, and I hope he'll be even happier with the finished product of what we're doing. I pull out some chairs, but I don't do all of the work. I want him to be able to have some fun with it, too.
