Good morning! Ah, there's so much in store for today, I spent all of yesterday in town, using the mayor's phone to dial up the Village in Two. The ambassador there has been in touch with me- well, more so just keeping me in the loop. Things are changing and I have to sign off on it, but if I'm honest, my eyes are glazed over and I'm agreeing to it all.
What's the worst that can happen? Ha! Well.
Actually, there's some options, but I have a good vibe on it. Currently the village is so empty, it's calm and pretty, grace in the stillness- I'm sick of it! There's no change, you know what's the worst way to get mold? Still water, there's got to be change. Right now it's population: a few, uhh, I don't know the exact number. It's written down somewhere, between contracts and bargains, there's an astrologist in the midst of it all trying to get free housing.
Might just happen! She's got a big set of- uhh, eyes. "Xiao!!" I bang on his door in the morning, coffee breath catching between me and the oak door. Our cottage smells like fresh lament and a wet closet, I think there's a leak because whenever it rains, the smell gets worst. His mug is hot in my hand, I hold it from the top and the heat's cooking my palm; "there's a beautiful morning just waiting to be seen, come on!"
Truth be told, I just need his help today. Alatus sleeps in most days - I think - either that, or his room is empty. I don't open his door until he tells me, no response means I just go on about my day without him. Some people need alone time, not me, but some people. There's an upbeat cacophony in the way the sunrises, that chorus of ultraviolets -- if it rises each day, I can find a way to enjoy it.
"I'm bribing you with almond coffee through the door," I say, maybe it'll help with the soggy smell.
