What is it?
Salem's Lot is a competition reality series for drag queens which takes place in the Capitol and is hosted by Salem Scott. On a weekly basis, competitors will have a challenge they must each put their own spin on, and then there will be a themed runway walk. A winner will be announced each week, and a bottom two will lip-sync to some of the Capitol's most iconic songs before one is ultimately eliminated from the show.
Salem's Lot is based heavily on Rupual's Drag Race. How Does is Work?
There are five categories the contestants will be judged in: Dancing, Sewing, Charisma, Comedy, and Fashion. Each queen will start with 25 value points which they may distribute among these categories as they see fit.
As a start, every single roll will be a d20, where 1-10 is a fail and 11-20 is a success. However, if a queen has points on the category they're being judged in, their chances of success- and how much they succeed, increases. As an example, someone might end up with the following stats:
dancing: 7
sewing: 6
charisma: 4
comedy: 4
fashion: 4
If they were rolling for a comedy challenge, rather than rolling a d20, they would roll a d24 in which 1-10 is a fail and 11-24 is a success. This means if they score a 24 and someone else who has less points in comedy scores perfectly as well, they'll still clinch the win.
Often, more than one category will be judged per challenge. In the event of this, the average of the two scores will be taken.
If a queen makes it through a week without being eliminated or ending up in the bottom two, she gets a +1 to add to any category of her choosing. If a queen wins the week's challenge, she gets a +2. If a queen is in the bottom two, she does not get anything except the chance to redeem herself the following week.
There will also likely be fun little twists and turns along the way to make gameplay more interesting and keep people having fun and on their toes.Rules
- only drag queens may be used as face claims
- you must apply as if they are auditioning for the show. if someone does not get in, they are welcome to audition again in a later season with the same person
- people are going to be eliminated every week, it's the name of the game. sportsmanship is encouraged and bad attitudes are not welcome. keep in mind you're writing a fictional character competing in a fictional competition to win a fictional prize.
- probably more as I think of new things to addApplication:Name:

The goal is to have a final cast of about twelve, but if we end up with less that's okay, we will just send home the filler queens first! <3
