Don't listen to anything my brothers told you, I love 'em, but they have no clue what they're talking about. First of all, I'm hilarious, even if they'd have you believe otherwise. They never laugh at my jokes, but that's because the jokes are so funny that their brains can't comprehend just how funny they are. What do you call a cow eating grass? A lawn moo-er. I know, it's hilarious, right!? See? I knew I was funny. Here's a tip so you can be as funny as me one day, finger guns make everything better, maybe with a little wink too.

Another lie my brothers may have told you is that I have trouble with the ladies, which isn't at all true. I could get tons of girls... I mean like if I ever told them they're cute. I haven't really tried that, but like if I did say something I'm sure it would work out... maybe. Regardless, it's hard to tell a girl she's cute when there's so many pretty girls out there to fall in love with. It's not like I'm scared of getting rejected or anything. A cool guy like me? Please.

I love my brothers, I do. They just seem to underestimate my abilities. I'm the second youngest of us - Larry, Harmon, and Thad are older than me with Sammy being a year younger - but I'm by far the toughest one out of us. I could beat any of them in a fight, or at least an arm wrestling contest. And even if I lost, I wouldn't cry. Tough guys like me don't cry, it's Sammy who cries a ton. But, Sammy is just a kid, he's allowed to cry.

Thad swears I've cried because of those damn chickens, but I haven't. For some reason he thinks I'm scared of them, but I'm not. I just don't like the chickens at all. I wish my parents put me in charge of the cows or the sheep or literally anything but the chickens. The chickens have it out for me I swear. They peck me, chase me, and basically torment me and all I do is take care of them. Maybe I told one too many puns to them and now they have a vendetta or something.

Not only am I the funny brother, the ladies man, the cool guy, and the tough one - I'm definitely the most handsome of my brothers. Girls dig the curly hair, plus it helps hide my ears, which could definitely use a size-reduction if you ask me. Plus, working on a farm definitely helps with building up muscle. Though, my brothers definitely aren't ugly, after all they were lucky enough to look like me. They each have something about them that makes them unique, for example, Thad's hair is definitely something else. But, you think I'm cute, right?

I actually like my life how it is. Some people want more than just farming around here, but I don't mind it other than the chickens. Being outside and exercising all day? It's a whole lot of fun. I don't see why some people go to such extreme lengths like volunteering to try to change their lives. Yeah, things aren't perfect here. Food can be hard, the house feels like it's falling apart, and sometimes all it takes is one sick animal to completely disrupt the farm. But, I wouldn't want to risk losing my parents or any of my brothers for anything.

Maybe things need to change, but there's other ways to bring about change than trying to be in the Hunger Games or running away from the district. Why not stay where you're at and try to change things one step at a time? Sometimes it's the little things that really add up to make a big difference. This doesn't make me sappy or anything, before you say something. Tough guys stick it out when things get rough instead of just trying to up and leave. That's what I want to do here.

If I could accomplish one thing in my life I'd want to make some sort of lasting change for the better here in district ten. I still don't know what that is yet, but I'm only fourteen, I have time to figure something out. Maybe my lasting change will be getting more people to laugh around here instead of taking everything so seriously, though I kind of want to do something bigger than that. It would be pretty cool if I could eventually do something. But doing stuff like that requires actually having money and most people around here don't have much of it, including us. But, for now I'm just happy with my life on Pepperwood Farms with my brothers and parents.
