* * *The tension sizzled between Mauve and Liara. Bellamy had attempted to soothe the anger that blazed between the two of them, looking at Mauve with eyes that pleaded her to step down, eyes that reminded her of some sort of puppy, annoying and persistent. She preferred them glazed and lifeless. She stared at him for a long moment, fists tight by her side, not even looking at Liara as she dismissed her with a "whatever," leaning down to pick up the parachute with the card Mauve written on it with Atticus's hand writing. Liara could go fuck herself, Mauve thought as she mentally flipped off the girl taking a seat on the grassy floor.
Flipping over the card was a small message scribbled by Atticus: stab your enemies, not your friends (yet). Mauve didn't know how long she could last without stabbing Liara, not that she really considered the red headed career a friend. Maybe Atticus wasn't referring to her, maybe it was directed at Bell. Frowning, Mauves eyes hover on Bellamy. No, Mauve didn't have friends here, only enemies. Though Atticus was right, stabbing Liara, or Bell or even Bubby for that matter, wouldn't help her now- though she was sure it would be satisfying.
Mauve sifts through the supplies, admiring the axe for a moment before stuffing as much as she could into the hideous fanny pack that had been sent down with the chute. Scowling she secures the lock before tossing it over her shoulder, wearing it across her chest. Pushing herself to her feet she looks around them for a moment, most of the tributes had scattered by now, leaving them alone. A wooden structure to their right catches her attention, "I'm going this way," she says simply. Not a question, or a demand, just a fact.
"Oh, and Bell, don't think I've forgotten that you owe me." A bet that she had won, the reward an advantage that she planned to take full advantage of. She gives him a Cheshire smile, looking him up and down, "I hope you aren't too attached to your uniform."
