Mum threatened to throw away my replicas if Abadeer's flunks me, I swear that lady's a nut. You see, I used to do good in school! Had good marks back in eight, never seemed a problem until she brought me here. We had some different problems then, but all I'm saying is if she wants that Capitol History grade to go she could just let me move back home with dad.

You want the run down? Figured you would: dad makes belts, mum used to own a junk shop but moved here for lumber.

She's got a girlfriend she brings around the house, I keep out of it. Well, I mostly stay out of it, I don't leave my room and she doesn't care enough to give her two cents about it. I get the big old basement to myself -- I asked for it, but I'm starting to think I was gonna wind up down here either way. It's never really a problem though, Carrie, that's mum's girl, she works in commerce, so she'll pop up out of nowhere and give me some cross-district exclusive before kicking me out the living room. 

We're capitalists, right? Who says you can't buy my love? Those codgers at the academy taught me that. That Capitalist thing, not the other thing... anyways, I think that's good proof that I'm doing just fine. Learning a lot, paying so much attention it hurts. 

Okay, I've got to be honest, I've started smoking since moving here. 

And I mean smoking smoking, I started gamemaking for a campaign of bards & blunders, and one of the guys started bringing his grinder. Now, I've had a cigarette back in eight, practically everybody has, but this was some herb from Six that I've never messed with until now and I really think I've gone cock-up. It was some Salazar boy, and I'm running into those blokes a lot around here.

All I can really say, I guess, is thank Salazars for some trees. Right?
