I believe that Ra spoke to me that day, telling me exactly what it was that I needed to do. He told me that I needed to get out of One. He told me that I needed to get away from all of those people who had sided with Set- with chaos. I needed to side with Ra- the light.

So, I got away from it all. I didn't even tell my parents- I just disappeared one day. I packed up a few things in a (designer) backpack, put on my favorite coat and my black, lace-up boots, and left the District. The only person who knew where I went was the friend of mine who helped me escape, and he promised not to tell a soul. My friend had the knowledge to temporarily turn off the District's electrified chain link fence, and was able to supply wire cutters for me to cut my way through it and get out.

I ran until I felt I was far enough away to be safe. I ran until I was pretty sure that no one except Ra could find me.
