The man considers himself to be of a classy sort. Mr. Wondull frequently is seen donning a red suit and some sort of top hat that make up his signature outfit. People know the Wondull name, so why not have a fabulous image to pair with the it? Wally Wondull's Confectionary produces over sixty-nine percent of Panem's chocolate, and it is quite well-recognized for it. Wally is proud of his work, but still, it wasn't quite enough for him.
Due to his desire for more, when a position as a stylist for District Ten's female tributes arose, he immediately did what he had to to get the spot. He got the position, but there was almost definitely some bribery involved, as before starting as a stylist, he hadn't much fashion sense. He also didn't have any knowledge of clothing design. So, once he got the position, he learned.
While Wally Wondull was figuring out exactly what he'd have to do as a stylist if he wanted to keep the job, he ended up hiring more people to help work in his chocolate factory. The very first clothing item he designed while practicing his work was the uniform for his factory workers: brown turtleneck shirts with striped cuffs and some white overalls to go on top. Perfect, he thought.
Now that Wally feels sufficiently prepared enough to be a stylist, he splits his time between his work in the chocolate factory and his work as a stylist. Chocolate sales have been soaring recently, and although he isn't quite sure why, it brings him quite the sense of satisfaction. Perhaps it's something to do with more events taking place in the Capitol recently. People need their sweets for their parties, after all.
Growing up, Wally always knew he wanted to do something in the line of working with food. Of course, with his favorite foods always having been sweets, it made his decision easy. Like many people in the Capitol, Wally was born into wealth. Before Wally started Wally Wondull's Confectionary, his family was known for their contributions to the alcohol market. His father owned a large distillery, and it was popular enough to allow the family to leave Wally money. It was enough money to start a business.
So, that's exactly what Wally did with it. His business took a while to pick up, but after the first four years of business and now, forty years after coming to be, it's immensely popular. If you buy chocolate in the Capitol, whether you realize it or not, it's likely a Wondull. Of course, many people do realize this, which is likely the reason that so many people have pursued Wally romantically over the years.
Wally's had many "flings" over the years, and many casual, short-term relationships. He's also been married twice- once to a woman and once to a man. He has no kids, which he is rather content with. Now that he's been divorced for the second time, he's looking for love again. He's looking for a person that he can have fun with, and that, of course, loves chocolate. (Gender isn't part of the equation here.)
In the future, Wally hopes to finally find someone to share his life with that doesn't cause him more stress than good. Although, as he gets up in age, he becomes less hopeful that it's actually going to happen. Perhaps that's why he finds his way into parties so much now- even though he's less hopeful, he's still hopeful. He's always hoped to find love that felt right, and honestly thought he had a couple of times, but it didn't quite work out in the end.
Mr. Wondull is also used to being independent when he has to, though, of course. He's not afraid to do things on his own. He's a very cheery and upbeat gentleman who is always willing to strike up a conversation with anyone. Unlike many people in the Captiol, Wally is not one to judge. He knows that everyone comes from their own places, and that everyone struggles through things sometimes.
Sure, Wally was given a lot of the things he has in life for free, but he's also worked hard and struggled for a lot of it, too. Just because he can bribe his way into things, like becoming a stylist, doesn't mean that that's all he ever does.
