THREE PERSON RELAY!

Would you like to think that you're the fastest runner in your district? Or better yet, in all of Nine, Ten, or Eleven? Well now might be your chance to prove just how fast you are! The County Fair is very excited to announce that in order to further promote inter-district relations and encourage team building amongst the people, we are hosting a three person relay! The team building rules are as simple as this: represent all three districts.

That's right! Nine, Ten, and Eleven are going to be working together on this one, folks!

A large racetrack has been constructed out of hay bales, with large lanes drawn in chalk. At staggered starting points around the track will be your three team members, racing to each other and to the finish line! Don't step out of course, and don't drop the baton, and definitely make sure you're faster than the other guys.

RULES
It's really pretty straight forward on this one, kids! For each member of your team, you will have a dice roll to determine how quickly your character completes their leg of the race. This will be as follows:

Once all participants have completed their legs of the relay, all time rolls will be added together, and the team with the fastest time will be declared the winners! And don’t forget—you need at least a 100 word IC post for any of your rolls to count!

If Elijah, saw me now, I’d never live it down. He’d probably tease me for the next year about how I let myself be dragged into a relay race by a girl half my size who I barely knew. He’d tell me I’m too soft, that my heart isn’t as cold as I make out to be, and he’d probably be right. I think I just have a problem with letting people down. I’ve seen what misplaced hope can do to a person.

The longer I spend at the Fair the more I find myself being thrust into situations outside of my comfort zone. I keep telling myself I should have just stayed at home, like any other day at Julia. Sat out in the garden and watched my adopted brothers and sisters come and go through the back door like they do.

But then I see the girls on my team ahead of me, standing poised and much more ready than I am, and I feel like maybe there’s more to life than the people I share a house with.

And when the whistle blows, I run to them.

My height is an advantage for most things in life. But not running, apparently. I’m as uncoordinated as they come, tripping over my legs so badly that by the time I eventually reach Clio, I’m out of breath, exhausted and embarrassed. Definitely too unfit for this. “Go!” I manage to sputter out, thrusting the baton into Clio’s hands before falling on the ground.

i always used to be into writing sort of modern abstract
lyricism stuff (that were like) slight vague indications of a feeling.

When the race was announced, I found a team and signed up. I loved the idea of doing a relay with people from other Districts. I'd always wanted to meet people from Ten and Eleven, as they're the Districts I've always wished I could live in. Now, I got to not only meet some of them, but also work closely with them.

When the race began, I headed off as quickly as I could. I hoped I could live up to the expectations that my team probably had of me. I did the absolute best I could, and when I reached the goal for my leg of the race, I quickly passed my baton to my teammate who was up next.
